Over the last three years:
-
BILL WAS THE ONLY CITY COUNCILLOR TO VOTE AGAINST A 17% TAX RAISE OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS IN ABBOTSFORD Bill feels the taxpayers are paying as much as they can already.
- BILL ALSO VOTED NO TO A WAGE INCREASE TO CITY COUNCILLORS Bill will direct the money he receives as an increase in pay to the City Reserves.
- Since 2008, Bill has served on nine committees as a City Councillor in Abbotsford (The most of ANY city councillor): Parks, Recreation and Culture; Abbotsford Downtown Business Association; Mayor's Gang Task Force; Matsqui Drainage, Diking and Irrigation; Abbotsford Social Development Advisory Committee; Abbotsford Technical Advisory Committee; Maplewood House Committee; and The Sister City Committee.
- Bill is currently the Deputy Mayor of Abbotsford.
- Bill has been the front-runner in supporting diversity in our culture. He recognizes the importance of focusing on similarities on bridging our multicultural communities.
Over the next three years:
On Taxes:
Bill would like to see more accountability in safeguarding taxpayers from unnecessary expenditures from public servants. "We have a broken system on a dead-end road. It is not too late to fix it."
- Mac Attack on You Tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNJNR7uY5Gc
On P3:
The research shows the P3 is the best choice for the impending water crisis in Abbotsford. The Government of Canada's grant of $65.7 million dollars by the P3 Canada Fund towards the Stave Lake Water Project (if approved by voters on November 19th referendum) further proves this choice is the best for the electorate and the taxpayers' dollars.
On the environment:
- "I believe in economic development but not at the cost of the environment." It is Bill's passion to make this region the best developed and cared for in the nation. In doing so, our generation and future generations can take pleasure in the quality of life we presently enjoy.
